Webinars to Update the Church on Mission Alignment Process Scheduled

Last Updated Dec 18, 2009

The Mission Alignment Coordinating Council, authorized by the 2008 General Board, has continued its work in nine focused areas.  One of the areas, Proposal 9, invites the church to participate in a webinar and offer feedback via an online survey.

Todd Adams, Associate General Minister and Vice President, will offer the information from the Proposal 9 Working Group at six different times.  Interested persons only need to participate in one webinar.

“Webinars are a great tool for the church to reach a broad audience of people with information,” said Adams.  “I’ve recently used the webinar format to teach Bible studies and workshops from my office and home to a couple of regions.”

The webinar format requires that participants pre-register for their preferred time through one of the links listed below.  All times listed are Eastern.  After registering, the participants will receive a link to the webinar allowing them to participate.  The audio portion does require speakers on your computer or access via conference call number.

At the conclusion of the webinar participants will receive an e-mail link to an online survey.  The survey, according to Adams, will provide valuable feedback to the working group, which meets again in February.

In addition to receiving the information and data from the Proposal 9 group, the webinar will offer an update on the progress of the eight other proposals and a brief introduction to the work of MACC.  For those persons who do not have access to the Internet and would like to participate, you can contact Gerri Lynn Reeves at 317-713-2444 and request a printout of the MACC Presentation.  Each webinar will open 15 minutes in advance of the call to allow for technical support and questions by participants.

The webinars will be held on:

  • December 11 from 11 am - 12 noon (EST)
  • December 16 from 2 pm - 3 pm (EST)
  • January 7 from 10 am - 11 am (EST)
  • January 7 from 9 pm - 10 pm (EST)
  • January 12 from 11 am - 12 noon (EST)
