Congregations will have an opportunity this Sunday, Sept. 27 and on Oct. 4 to support the Church's mission priority of becoming a pro-reconciling, anti-racism church. The funds from the Reconciliation Ministry Offering are used to support educational and leadership development opportunities such as scholarships for young people to attend camps, Church to Church dialogues on race and training experiences for clergy and lay leaders.
 
Reconciliation Ministry recently announced the funding of several grant proposals for 2010. One funded proposal will support efforts to call, train and support a new church pastor. Another proposal will support a gathering of youth from seven regions in the summer of 2010 to explore mission through a pro-reconciliation lens.

On Sunday, Oct. 4, the emphasis on Reconciliation Ministry Offering will coincide with World Communion Sunday when Christians around the world experience Holy Communion in the context of the global community of faith.
