Chapman University advanced one spot to No. 9 in the 2010 “U.S. News and World Report” rankings of master’s-level universities in the 15-state Western region. Chapman has risen sharply in the rankings in recent years. In 1991, the university was ranked No. 61 in this category. Chapman University is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and located in Orange County, Calif.
