Voices from many churches across the Stone-Campbell movement will be featured in a new DVD documentary entitled, "Watermark: Stone-Campbell in the 21st Century" that will be released this fall. The documentary's goal is to show viewers how our American history of faith is relevant to people, congregations and various denominations. The project is sponsored in part by the Disciples of Christ Historical Society.
Among the voices in the documentary are Cynthia Hale, senior pastor of Ray of Hope Christian Church in Decatur, Ga., Douglas Foster, professor of church history at Abilene Christian University, and General Minister and President Sharon Watkins. "This is a conversation that's happening in every church in the country today: How do we institutionally provide spiritual relevance across the rich cultural diversity of 21st century America?" said Jerry L. Jackson, director of the documentary. For more information, see: www.disciples.org/Portals/0/PDF/DNS/2009/20090813-DCHSNewDVD.pdf (PDF)
