Now available on the Disciples Mission Fund website (www.disciplesmissionfund.org) are two new giving tools that can be used to review a congregation's overall giving.

The first of the tools is referred to as the "Where Your Money Goes (WYMG) Automation." According to Tom West of OGMP Treasury Services: "This spreadsheet uses a congregation's pin number to reference how much a congregation has given and how those gifts have been used. The spreadsheet can be used to analyze 2009 or 2010 giving, and is coupled with a training tutorial video that walks the user through operating the tool."

The second tool is the "Historical Giving Analysis." This tool uses a congregation's pin number to reference the congregation's five-year giving history. The tool is designed to provide the congregation with a method for reviewing its historical giving trends.

Also new to the website is the pin lookup. Through use of this search field, a congregation can locate its pin number simply by entering its zip code.

"We understand that not all end-users will have the correct operating system to utilize these tools," said John Goebel, senior accountant of Treasury Services.  "For those individuals, a request form has been created."

On the form, the user would have to simply provide their congregation's pin number, a return email address, and list what reports they wish to have prepared. Using this information, Treasury Services would then prepare the requested reports and return them by email.

These tools were developed to promote easier access of information within the Disciples' network.

"Tom and John have a customer-oriented passion for ensuring that a congregation has easy and up-to-date access regarding Disciples Mission Fund.  The online automation takes DMF promotion and accountability to a new level," said Associate General Minister and Vice President Todd Adams.  "It is our hope that this level of transparency will empower Disciples' congregations to take ownership of how their funds are moving toward wholeness in a fragmented world."
