The Disciples Justice Action Network (DJAN) is offering several events and learning opportunities around the topics of health care, war and peace, prophetic witness, and resolutions to community controversy during the upcoming General Assembly. The issues will be discussed during four DJAN Resource Groups on July 31 and Aug. 1. They will be among more than 100 Resource Groups at the Assembly that are designed to equip congregations for mission and ministry.

The DJAN Resource Groups are entitled, "Moral and Ethical Issues in Health Care Provision," July 31; "Faithful Security - An Ecumenical Approach to War and Peace," July 31; "Can I Get A Witness? Looking for the Prophetic Church," Aug. 1; and "Controversy and Community - Looking for Resolutions," Aug. 1. Speakers include Michael Kinnamon, Rita Brock, Eric Brown, Charles Bayer, Noemi Mena, Richard Hamm, Chris Hobgood, Jack Sullivan, and Steven Baines.
 
There will also be several aftersessions dealing with the future of prophetic witness in our church; and a vigil for health care reform on Saturday night (in Monument Circle at 9.30 p.m.), featuring Sharon Watkins, T. Garrott Benjamin, and leaders from the Indianapolis community.
