Dear God, your Son Jesus Christ taught us to pray:

Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done…

It is not easy to do your will at times. As I try very hard to do the things my parents ask me to do, I fail. I believe that my parents and all the adults in the community fail to please you at times. We fail when we do not love and respect one another. We fail when we hate one another so much that we send armies to kill and destroy other countries. We often do it in your name. We know that there are those that would do, and have done us harm. So we do not understand all that is happening around us: the hatred, the fighting, the killing. But as our parents here on earth love us and forgive us, you, God, our heavenly God, who came to earth in the person of Jesus Christ, please love and continue to love us as we try to please you.

Amen.
