Dear God,
I think you are
awesome.
I thank you for the
flowers, the ocean and Jesus.
Sometimes when I
swing real high and close my eyes, I feel like I am in heaven
I thank you for my
house, my little warm bed and my teachers.
I am thankful to live
in America and in my town
and I am happy when the Cubs win games.
I pray for the
children in countries with war, fighting, hate, diseases and no food.
Please God, help them. Please don't forget them.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen.

Emily is a third grader at St. Michael's
school in Greenfield. Her favorite subject is social studies. She
lives with her parents, Michael and Cherie, two younger sisters, Hannah
and Zoe, and two beagles, Henry and Lucy. She is a Brownie Girl Scout,
takes fencing lessons and LOVES baseball, especially the Chicago
Cubs. When she grows up, she wants to be a history professor or a
chef. Emily became a member of the Greenfield Christian Church last Easter
after seeking out her minister and asking to be baptized. She is
particularly thankful to David and Kaye Edwards for their friendship
and spiritual guidance. She is very sensitive about children who say mean
things to others at school and concerned about children in other parts of
the world.
