NEW07 Lineup Announced for Fort Worth in July
Disciples News Service - 3/23/2007
Fort Worth, Texas – National leaders in the “how to” of church growth and ministry vitality will lead a special three-track lineup at NEW07 July 18-20 in Fort Worth, Texas.
NEW07 will feature Cynthia Hale, Ed Stetzer, Jim Harnish and Bob Pike and a three-track workshop approach in church planting, church transformation and Christian leadership coaching.
NEW07 is the offspring of NEW conferences sponsored by the National Evangelistic Association/Net Results magazine in previous years. This year’s event has a new national sponsor—The Columbia Partnership—in association with NEA. Previously known as the National Evangelism Workshop, NEW07 is emphasizing a NEW dimension of ministry vitality.
Dick Hamm, president of The Columbia Partnership and former general minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) said the broader scope—yet sharper focus—will be of more benefit to a larger audience.
“Church planting, church transformation and Christian coaching are three flames burning through the dry tinder of church life in America,” Hamm said. “Participants in NEW07 will be able to capture that heat to light their own churches.”
NEW07 will be at the Fort Worth Convention Center downtown. It immediately precedes the biannual assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples), to be held in the same facility July 21-25.
A special room rate has been secured at the Fort Worth Hilton, which will be headquarters hotel.
Cynthia Hale is founding pastor of the 3,500 member Ray of Hope Christian Church in Decatur, GA, and will tell participants “How We Did It.” NW
Jim Harnish, pastor of Hyde Park United Methodist Church, Tampa, FL, will lead the session on church transformation.
Ed Stetzer, missiologist and senior director for missional research at the North American Mission Board in Alpharetta, GA, will lead participants in Church Planting.
Bob Pike, founder and chairman of The Bob Pike Group, and Creative Training Techniques International, Inc., Minneapolis, MN is author of 21 books and will focus on Christian leadership coaching.
NEW07 participants will attend workshops primarily in the track they choose but will hear all four plenary speakers. Workshops in the three tracks will provide training—including CEU credits in coaching—rarely available outside of NEW07.
Registration fee through March is $99. After March the fee rises to $129. Register at www.NEW07.org or with The Columbia Partnership, 905 Hwy 321 NW, Suite 331 · Hickory, NC 28601.
