INDIANAPOLIS (DNS) -- Shari A. Cullumber has been named assistant treasurer for Board of Church Extension of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ.). An area resident, she formerly served as controller for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis, Inc.
The new assistant treasurer will be responsible for the day-to-day financial accounting operations for the church planning and financing unit.
Cullumber graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and accounting from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo.
Before coming to Board of Church Extension, she worked at John Wood Community College in Quincy, Ill., as controller. She also served as interim dean of administration and treasurer for the college. Most recently, the new assistant treasurer worked at Homeland Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Refugee and Immigration Ministries.
Cullumber is an active member of Westview Christian Church, Indianapolis. She is a former member of First Christian Church, Quincy, where she was board chairperson and sang with the choir.
Cullumber and her husband, Jim, have two children. Jim Cullumber is director of communications for the Christian Church Foundation.
