With help from Disciples churches and other faith communities, Habitat for Humanity reached an important milestone on Nov. 13 as the philanthropic organization commenced building its 300,000th home.
From preparing the meals that will be distributed to the poor by 50 non-profit agencies to planting shrubbery and mowing lawns, the 2009 Indianapolis General Assembly will offer ample opportunities for Disciples who want to share their witness through mission.
