John Malget Installed as Association of Disciples Musicians President

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla., Oct. 2, 2002 -- On August 1, John D. Malget, Jr. was installed as President of the Association of Disciples Musicians national organization at the conclusion of their final concert and workshop held July 27 - August 1, at Oklahoma City University.

Malget currently serves as the minister of music at First Christian Church, Cushing, Okla., as well as the vocal music director for Cushing middle and high schools. He is also working towards a master of divinity degree at Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, Okla. In any spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, Sherri, and his children, Nick and Kristin.

ADM's purpose is to promote excellence in church music and worship and their primary activity is an annual workshop. The annual workshop provides a week of worship, fellowship, reflection and professional training, for persons of varying musical skill. All musicians and anyone interested in worship are encouraged to attend next year's workshop July 26-31, 2003, at Texas Christian University, Ft. Worth, Texas.
