Short term volunteer opportunities

SHORT TERM VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: " MAKING
A DIFFERENCE WITH YOUR PROFESSIONAL SKILLS"

The Mission Personnel Office is looking for volunteers to serve with our partners in other countries. Individuals may serve from only a couple of weeks to several months. Pastors and seminarians have opportunities as well. If you are handy with construction or making repairs, if you enjoy gardening and cleaning, if you are great at English or if you want to use your professional skills, there may be a position available for you! You may have the time, yet no financial means to volunteer - some opportunities have limited funding and support, i.e. housing and local salary. Below is only a sample of some of the opportunities:

* India: Church programs need seminarians, health care professionals, social workers, and teachers for all levels of education for private schools.

* Italy: Home for children needs an English communication specialist for newsletter, and volunteers are needed for conference centers.

* Africa: HIV/AIDS educator consultant and health care professionals.

* Latin America: A companion for a women’s hospice, nurse educators, recreation assistants, and computer program specialists.

* Summer programs: Teach English in China or Eastern Europe, or join an annual group of young people to Russia or Mexico. .
