Robert Alvarez is Second Vice Moderator of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. Alvarez serves as President of Executive Business Suites, Global Business Centers within the NorthPoint Group of North Point Realty Partners, a commercial real estate firm in Atlanta, Ga. His efforts are directly attributable to an excess of $50 million in sales and the exponential growth of the NorthPoint Group. He is also CEO and Chairman of a new “green” energy company, Joint Base Activity Resources Enterprise LLC.
Alvarez is a member of Aposento Alto Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Forest Park, Ga., and has served in multiple leadership positions within the Church, including as the vice-moderator for the Christian Church in Georgia.
Alvarez was in the United States Army from 1979 to 2000, retiring at the rank of lieutenant colonel. After leaving military service, he joined Fidelity Information Services, where he worked for four years before taking his current position at North Point.
Alvarez earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree in national strategic studies and security affairs from the Naval War College. He has been married to his wife, Juanita, for more than 28 years. Their children Jeika, an attorney, and Robert and Ashley, currently undergraduate students, remain the love and motivation for Robert Alvarez’s tireless work.
