Gabe Dixon and Craig Wiseman
Gabe Dixon and Craig Wiseman, both from Disciples clergy households, headline this musical celebration of some of Nashville’s best Disciples musicians.
Dixon, a songwriter-pianist -- and a Disciples preacher’s kid, has performed with artists as varied as Paul McCartney, Alison Krauss, and O.A.R. His group’s 2011 album earned “Best of the Year” status from Paste, American Songwriter, and the year-end Village Voice critics poll. Young Tennessee Disciples will remember summer youth camp rocked when Dixon pounded out a Jerry Lee Lewis tune.
Wiseman, a proud preacher’s spouse, has earned #1 status for 17 of his songs, including his Grammy-Award winning, “Live Like You Were Dying,” performed by Tim McGraw. Other achievements include, ASCAP’s Songwriter of the Year three consecutive years, and recordings for (among others), Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Beverly Knight, Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton, and Brooks & Dunn.

Bill Thomas
General Assembly Music Director
General Assembly Music Director, Bill Thomas looks forward to a General Assembly in "Music City, USA." While Thomas' leadership role during previous five-day-long assemblies has earned him the admiration of thousands, his work begins about two years in advance of the gathering. Preparation ranges from writing music to scouting and inviting other musicians to participate to "wrangling divas." Thomas, who is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in worship, was recently called as pastor of Little White Church, Burbank, California. Perhaps best known for his role as Vanessa Huxtable's fiancé, Dabnis Brickney, on the highly acclaimed NBC sitcom, The Cosby Show, he also has appeared in several other TV shows, including Star Trek, Frank's Place, 7th Heaven, Home Improvement and The West Wing.
