The Michigan region is welcoming a new regional minister, but he is not unfamiliar. The Rev. Eugene James, Jr., has been serving as a Co-Transitional Regional Minister in the area as well as pastor of Northwestern Christian Church in Detroit. A life-long Disciple, James has also served the wider church on the Overseas Ministries Board, the Michigan Black Disciples Caucus and helping connect volunteers to mission programs in the Detroit area.
