Please pray daily for the work of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We ask that your prayers include those in all expressions of the Church who are helping the church achieve its vision of becoming a faithful, growing church that is truly serving from "our doorsteps to the ends of the earth."
Pray for General Minister and President Sharon Watkins as she strives to serve the Church as both its spiritual leader and chief executive officer. Please pray your blessings on her work as she seeks to discern God's will for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

- God of our parents and grandparents, we rejoice in the long relationships that bind us to you. We are grateful on this day for the ministry of First Christian Church of Woodbridge, Texas, which will be closing its doors as a congregation soon. We thank you for the saints who have through the years provided ministry to their community and been involved in Your mission as it extends to the ends of the earth. Be with them during their decision-making processes and provide them with your Spirit to guide them to always give glory to you, the one whose reign has no end. Amen.
- Marvelous Creator, we recognize that we are not alone in the world but have sisters and brothers in many places. You have made us our brother’s keeper. Be with those who have taken this challenge seriously. Especially we pray that during their mission trip to Nicaragua, Duncan and Mary Parish of Woodville, Texas, may be the bearers of good news to the people of that land. Help them in their reaching out to these sisters and brothers in a different land to take the name of Jesus with them that the world might know of your Good News that comes in His name. Amen.

- Let us pray for those of our brothers and sisters who are serving in the armed forces of their nation. Pray for their safety and security. Pray for their patience in the midst of hardships. Pray that they might have courage to faithfully deal with the challenges that confront them day by day. Pray that these men and women would refrain from speaking words of hate for those who oppose them and from bitterness toward those who do not agree with their mission.
- Pray for the families of these men and women who await their return and for those who are saddened because their husbands and wives, sons and daughters, sisters and brothers will not return.
